The <strong>Eastern DRC Investment Development Project (EDRCIDP)<\/strong> recognizes the importance of working closely with the <strong>Chefferie de Bashu<\/strong> to ensure sustainable and inclusive development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this partnership, the project engages the chiefdom leadership to secure <strong>consensual agreements for mining land use<\/strong>, ensuring that artisanal mining activities respect customary land rights while contributing to local economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the key objectives of the collaboration is to <strong>organize artisanal miners into cooperatives<\/strong>, improving transparency, safety, and benefit-sharing among community members. This approach not only legitimizes mining operations but also helps reduce conflict over resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to mining initiatives, the partnership also supports <strong>agricultural development<\/strong> by integrating local knowledge into programs aimed at improving crop productivity, strengthening food security, and expanding access to regional markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social programs are also a key component of the initiative.
